Integrity Management Consulting Remembers 9/11 by Contributing to Military Families in Need
McLean, VA—September 15, 2011—Integrity Management Consulting, Inc. (Integrity), a provider of major systems acquisition and program management support services to Federal clients, today announced its participation in two charitable efforts to support military families as a way to honor the victims and heroes of the tragic events of 9/11.
In response to employee requests for a Community Impact Project in observance of this anniversary and a corporate passion to help those in need, Integrity chose to support a non-profit charity vetted by the Catalogue for Philanthropy, Operation Homefront – DC Chapter (OH). OH provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors. You can learn more about OH at Operationhomefront.net/dcmetro.
Integrity asked employees and their teaming partners, friends, and customers to donate two types of items for which there is great need among families with members deployed overseas. The first request was for baby items of all sorts to fill gift baskets to ease the burden on military mothers to-be. The second item requested was grocery and gas gift cards to help families in distress whose household income was reduced by deployments overseas.
In addition to the numerous gift cards and baby items donated by staff, Operation Homefront will also receive a corporate grant from Integrity. “I am really proud of the way our team came together to observe the anniversary in an impactful way,” said Mary Beth Romani, Chief Strategy Officer at Integrity, who led the effort.
In a related effort to support military families, Integrity was a Silver Sponsor of the Annual Charity Golf Tournament for Military Family Relief, which helped raise more than $50,000 along with more than 25 corporate sponsors and 40 individual donors. This event was organized by The Columbia Group and culminated in the highest dollar amount raised in the history of the charitable event. All proceeds will be used by the charities to meet critical needs of the Sailors and Marines serving our country. This includes providing injured veterans with: housing and transportation assistance, help in managing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and combat stress, as well as Combat Casualty Visiting Nurses who provide long-term case management, health and resource information, and emotional support to their families.
